A warm welcome to my pages. I keep busy in lots of areas:
-
Software - After several years working in development and
technical architecture for a number of financial services organisations in the City of London
(most recently UBS), I'm delighted to have brought music and the day job together at last by
joining Sibelius Software as CTO.
-
Music -
I play classical guitar professionally, compose and arrange music. My
doctoral dissertation, on the music of Elliott
Carter, was published in the USA shortly after it was completed.
These pages now include a small site devoted to
the composer. I've played with many ensembles and individual musicians,
at venues like the Almeida theatre and the Jubilee Hall, Aldeburgh. I've
recorded for Radio 3, and some of my music is published. This site also
hosts my Purcell Project, building a
collection of midi performances of music by Henry Purcell. Arrangements
and original works now available for sale
here
(and some are free!)
-
People and Places -
Free associations, for free. Feel free.
-
Other interests -
in particular links to oriental game sites.
